Pattadakallu

Pattadakal is a famous historical site in Karnataka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. It is located in Bagalkot district. About the Temples: The temples of Pattadakal were built during the 7th and 8th centuries by the rulers of the Chalukya dynasty. These temples showcase a unique blend of North Indian (Nagara style) and South Indian (Dravidian style) architecture. Major Temples: Virupaksha Temple The largest and most famous temple, built by Queen Lokamahadevi to celebrate her husband's victory. Mallikarjuna Temple Built by Queen Trailokyamahadevi, located near Virupaksha Temple. Sangameshwara Temple One of the earliest temples, built in Dravidian style. Kashi Vishwanatha Temple An example of Nagara (North Indian) style architecture. Galaganatha and Papanatha Temples Known for their beautiful carvings and architectural design.
