Shravanabelagola

Shravanabelagola, located in Karnataka’s Hassan district, is a premier Jain pilgrimage site famous for the 58-foot monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali (Gommateshwara) atop Vindhyagiri Hill. Carved around 983 AD, it is one of the world's largest free-standing statues and hosts the Mahamastakabhisheka festival. The town features two historic hills, Vindhyagiri and Chandragiri, with over 40 temples and 600+ inscriptions.
